Christian
Christianity believes that God created life, and that humans are responsible to Him throughout their lives. They must make good use of all their gifts and resources, diligently practice God's teachings, and accept God's judgment after death. Those who lived with faith will have their souls returned to heaven and rest in the Lord's arms. In other words, Christians believe that death, born of faith, is the beginning of eternal life, a cause for fear. All will be gathered together in the paradise prepared by God, a cause for celebration. Therefore, Christian funerals are not overly sad. Worship services are held to pray for God's comfort, and gatherings of family and friends focus on the deceased's life's virtues and share their friendships with the deceased. Rituals are relatively simple, and there is no specific date or time for funerals; funerals can be held at a convenient time.
